The info below is what The Force typically offers for the winter season. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 - 2021 schedule is currently uncertain.
Date & Location
November through February.
Mary Ellen Henderson Middle School in Falls Church.
The Force will again be dividing our wrestlers into two groups: Foundational and Advanced.
The Foundational Group is for beginning wrestlers or wrestlers with 0 to 3 years of experience who want to continue to master proven foundational wrestling techniques from top, bottom and neutral positions.
Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:15pm - 7:30pm
Each wrestler in the Foundational Group will have the opportunity to wrestle in several tournaments throughout the season. The tournaments are held on weekends (typically Sundays) in high school gymnasiums throughout the Northern Virginia area. The tournaments begin in late December/early January and run through the month of February culminating in a final tournament with all NVWF* member clubs.
The Advanced Group is for the serious wrestler with +3 years of experience who have mastered foundational techniques and is ready to move on to higher-level wrestling techniques and conditioning drills as well as opportunities to participate in additional competitions.
Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:15pm - 8:00pm
Advanced Technique on Thursdays from 7:30pm - 8:30pm (Optional)
The Advanced Group will have the opportunity to wrestle in several more advanced competitions throughout the season such as Dulles Duals and Winter Wrestling Series events at Top of the Podium as well as various NVWF* tournaments and the VAWA State Wrestling Tournament.
It is imperative your wrestler be on time for each session to ensure proper warm up and team continuity.
We look forward to working with your athlete this coming season.
